Note on Beddome's Mother

At the time of her death, Beddome's mother Rachel lived in Montague Street a then recently developed part of Bristol near the centre. She also owned an estate that was then outside the city on the Eastern edge in St George. Since 1866 it has been considered part of Bristol. In the nineteenth century it became a mining area. She also owned a house in Back Lane in Bristol that she rented out.
